TORONTO, April 16, 2018 — The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for individuals who embody outstanding achievement in mining and who demonstrate the important role the sector and its leaders play in our Canadian society and economy. Through their leadership, individual nominees must have shaped Canada’s global industry and inspired future generations in mining. Nominees who are selected for induction will enter the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in January 2019.
Nominations must be submitted through Canadian Mining Hall of Fame Member Organizations or Associate Member Organizations. Member organizations include the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum; the Mining Association of Canada; The Northern Miner and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. Associate member organizations include the British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan mining associations and the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia. Anyone is welcome to nominate a candidate provided their nominee is channeled through one of the above organizations.
June 1, 2018 is the deadline to contact a member organization about submitting a nomination.
June 29, 2018 is the deadline to deliver nominating material to the member organization for review.
July 20, 2018, is the deadline for the member organization to submit the nomination to the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.

Selected nominees will be honoured at the Annual Dinner and Induction Ceremony to be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on January 10, 2019. This premier event is a celebration of Canada’s global mining leadership and the outstanding individuals who have transformed and led the industry to where it is today. The 2019 inductees will join the 181 remarkable individuals who have been inducted over the past thirty years, since the inception of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.
