TORONTO, April 19, 2017 — The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame (CMHF) has issued its 2018 Call for Nominations. Each year, the CMHF reaches out through its broad network in search of outstanding individuals for consideration by the Board for induction into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame at the annual induction celebration.
Now in its 30th year, the CMHF has inducted 177 exemplary men and women who have demonstrated leadership to the Canadian mining industry. “We have no doubt that the nominations this year will continue the tradition of recognizing excellence and leadership for which we have come to be known,” said Canadian Mining Hall of Fame Chair, Bill Roscoe.
Candidates for induction into the CMHF must be individuals who have demonstrated outstanding lifetime achievements to the benefit of the Canadian and/or world mineral industry. There must have been a flow-back of significant benefit to Canada. Anyone may nominate a candidate; however all nominations must be processed through a Member or Associate Member Organizations. Key Dates:
• June 1, 2017, Deadline for contacting a member organization about submitting a nomination
• June 30, 2017, Deadline for delivering nominating material to the member organization for review.
• January 11, 2018, Annual Induction Ceremony at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre

The next group of CMHF inductees will be honoured at the annual ceremony and networking event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on January 11, 2018.
