The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame (CMHF) is pleased to announce the induction of five new members whose remarkable achievements and lasting contributions have elevated and advanced Canada’s mineral exploration and mining industry at home and abroad. We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate:
- Lukas Henrik Lundin
- Anthony (Tony) Paul Makuch
- Ron Nolan
- James (Jim) Stockton Redpath
- Neil Woodyer
“The 2027 inductees are exceptional leaders who have made an enduring impact on Canada’s mineral exploration and mining community,” says Robert Boyd, Chair of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. “Through their vision, leadership and commitment, they have helped build a more sustainable, responsible and prosperous industry while strengthening Canada’s position as a global mining leader. Their careers serve as an inspiration to the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of our sector, and we are proud to honour their contributions and share their stories.”
The CMHF will welcome the five new members at the annual Canadian Mining Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony on January 14, 2027, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Ticket sales are available until December 21, 2026, and can be purchased at: mininghalloffame.ca
About the 2027 inductees
- Lukas Henrik Lundin was a visionary Canadian mining entrepreneur defined by a willingness to pursue opportunities others considered too daunting, and for nearly four decades helped build numerous highly successful resource companies, creating discoveries, mines and exceptional value for shareholders around the world.
- Anthony (Tony) Paul Makuch is a distinguished Canadian mining executive renowned for his remarkable ability to see potential where others see challenges, and his legacy is one of decisive leadership and an unwavering belief in the potential of Canadian mining.
- Ron Nolan is a distinguished engineer, entrepreneur and visionary leader whose tenure at Hatch transformed a successful Canadian engineering firm into a global powerhouse that established Canada as a world leader in mining engineering and project delivery.
- James (Jim) Stockton Redpath was a revered mining entrepreneur, engineer and leader who was a passionate advocate for safety, innovation and integrity, transforming a small regional contracting company into a global mining enterprise.
- Neil Woodyer is a pioneering mining financier, entrepreneur and company builder, recognized for his ability to identify opportunity, bring people and capital together, and transform challenging assets into successful mining companies.
